No pier chaos
Koh Tao's main pier is busy, loud, and stressful โ especially in peak season. Carabao is in Chalok Bay, where you step from the grass to the water.

No crossing other boats
At busy piers, you sometimes step across 3 or 4 other boats to reach yours. It's awkward at best, unsafe at worst. We don't have that problem.

What is beach-to-boat diving and why does it matter?+
Beach-to-boat means your dive trip starts directly from the beach โ you walk from the resort to the water's edge and board your boat without going to a pier. In Koh Tao, most schools require you to walk to the main pier, wait, and often step across other boats to reach yours. At Carabao, none of that happens.
Is beach departure better for beginners?+
Absolutely. Beginners are already nervous enough on their first dives. Removing the logistical stress of a crowded pier, a chaotic morning, and navigating across other boats makes a real difference. Our setup is calm and reassuring from the moment you walk out the door.
Where exactly do you depart from?+
We depart from Chalok Bay โ the quieter, southern bay of Koh Tao. It's calmer than the main town area, has excellent dive sites nearby, and is the natural home for a more relaxed style of diving.
Is the boat private to your group?+
Yes. Our boat carries only our guests. You will not be sharing with other schools or mixed groups. Our small group sizes mean you get more space, a more personal experience, and a more enjoyable boat ride.
