Advanced Adventurer โ Questions
What do I need before the Advanced Adventurer course?+
You need to be a certified Open Water diver โ SSI, PADI, or any internationally recognised agency. No minimum number of logged dives is required to enrol in the SSI Advanced Adventurer course.
How long does the Advanced course take?+
The SSI Advanced Adventurer course takes 2 days. You'll complete 5 adventure dives โ typically 2 on day 1 and 3 on day 2, including your night dive on the second evening.
Do I need to do all 5 dives?+
Yes โ the SSI Advanced Adventurer requires 5 adventure dives to certify. At Carabao, we run: Perfect Buoyancy, Navigation, Night Dive, Deep Dive, and Wreck Dive. This combination gives you the most useful and memorable experience possible.
Is the night dive scary?+
Most divers say their night dive is the highlight of their entire Advanced course. It feels very different at first, but once you're underwater the reef is stunning. Your instructor is with you the whole time and conditions in Chalok Bay are calm.
What depth will I reach?+
The deep dive goes to approximately 30m. The SSI Advanced Adventurer certifies you to 30m; with additional specialty training you can go to 40m. All depth progression is supervised and done safely.
