Pool training at the resort
Your confined water sessions happen in our on-site pool — calm, supervised, and at your own pace before entering the sea.
Private boat from the beach
Walk straight from the resort to our private boat. No pier queues, no sharing with other schools.
Full equipment included
Wetsuit, BCD, regulator, mask, fins and tank — all included. Just bring a swimsuit and sunscreen.
SSI Open Water certification
Your SSI cert is valid for life and recognised at every dive centre in the world.
Dive accident insurance
Comprehensive dive accident insurance is included for every day of your course.

Course structure
3 days to certified
Day 1
Pool & theory
Online theory (done before arrival) + confined water skills in our resort pool. Mask clearing, buoyancy, regulator recovery and emergency procedures — all at your pace.
Day 2
Open water dives 1 & 2
First real open water dives around Koh Tao. Shallow, calm sites with colourful marine life. Practise your skills in the sea with your instructor right beside you.
Day 3
Open water dives 3 & 4
Two more dives, slightly deeper. Build confidence, practise navigation and start diving more independently. Certification confirmed on completion.

Open Water Course — Questions answered
Is Koh Tao good for beginner divers?+
Koh Tao is one of the world's best places to learn to dive. Warm water (28–30°C), excellent visibility, calm sheltered bays, and beautiful marine life make it ideal for beginners. Our location in Chalok Bay is especially sheltered and relaxed — perfect for your first open water dives.
How long does the Open Water course take?+
The SSI Open Water course takes 3 days. Day 1 covers pool training and theory at the resort. Days 2 and 3 are open water dives — 4 dives in total in the warm waters around Koh Tao. You receive your certification at the end of Day 3.
Do I need any prior experience?+
No experience is needed. The course is designed for complete beginners. You need to be comfortable in the water and able to swim 200m — that's it. Everything else we teach from the very start.
What certification will I receive?+
You'll receive an SSI Open Water Diver certification, recognised worldwide at every dive centre, liveaboard, and resort. SSI is one of the world's two largest dive training agencies — your cert carries the same global weight as PADI.
Is accommodation available at the dive centre?+
Yes. We offer course + accommodation packages: Course only (9,900 THB), Course + 3 nights dormitory (9,900 THB all-in), and Course + 3 nights private AC room (10,900 THB). Message us on WhatsApp for current availability.
