Why Carabao Diving
The relaxed way to dive Koh Tao
Most dive centres bus you to Mae Haad, queue you at the pier, and load you onto a shared boat with 20 divers from different schools. We walk from the resort, board a private boat, and dive with our group only.
Beach-to-boat departure
Walk straight from our resort to the boat. No crowded pier, no stressful mornings in Mae Haad.
Small groups
We limit group sizes so dives are relaxed and the divemaster has time for every diver.

Fun Dives — Questions answered
What certification do I need for fun dives?+
Any internationally recognised Open Water certification qualifies you for fun dives — SSI, PADI, NAUI, CMAS, or equivalent. As long as you hold an Open Water cert or higher, you're welcome aboard.
How many dives are included on each trip?+
We typically run two dives per trip. Our morning trip departs around 8am with two dives, and our afternoon trip departs around 1pm with two dives. Most divers do one trip per day (2 dives), though it is possible to do both trips on the same day.
What time do the boats depart?+
Our morning trip departs from our beach at approximately 8:00am and returns by early afternoon. Our afternoon trip departs around 1:00pm. Exact times depend on conditions, group size, and the dive sites we plan to visit — confirm times when you book on WhatsApp.
Can I rent equipment at Carabao Diving?+
Yes. Full equipment hire is available — BCD, regulator, wetsuit, mask, fins and cylinder. You can rent individual items or a complete set. Ask us on WhatsApp to include equipment in your booking.
Can I book multiple dives or a dive package?+
Yes, and it works out better value. We offer multi-dive packages for divers who want to dive several days in a row. Message us on WhatsApp with your dates and we'll put together the right package for you.
