Advanced Course — Questions answered
Do I need Open Water certification first?+
Yes. The SSI Advanced Adventurer course requires an Open Water certification from SSI, PADI, or any other internationally recognised dive agency. If you don't have one yet, we can arrange an Open Water course first — just ask us on WhatsApp.
How deep can I dive after the Advanced course?+
After the SSI Advanced Adventurer course you are certified to dive to 30 metres. During the course itself, your deep dive will reach 30m under direct supervision. This opens up a whole new range of dive sites — including Koh Tao's best wrecks.
Does the course include a night dive?+
Yes. Night diving is one of the five adventure dives included in the SSI Advanced Adventurer. It's one of the most memorable experiences in the course — the reef transforms completely after dark with different marine life and bioluminescence.
How long does the course take?+
The SSI Advanced Adventurer takes 2 days. You complete 5 adventure dives — typically 2 on Day 1 and 3 on Day 2, including your night dive in the evening of Day 2. It's an intensive but achievable course.
Is accommodation included in the price?+
Yes — the standard course price of 9,500 THB includes 2 nights in a dormitory at our resort. If you prefer a private AC room, ask us on WhatsApp and we'll arrange an upgrade.
