DIVEMASTER – Your first step to becoming a dive professional
The next step for those who have become hooked on diving. It doesn’t matter if you are a freshly certified Open Water Diver or you already have your Rescue Diver. We can train you from your current status up to becoming a dive professional.
The Divemaster course is the first step into your professional diving career and usually takes 6-8 weeks. During this professional training we will improve your knowledge of dive theory – starting from physics and physiology to all the knowledge you need to be a good dive guide.
There will be a good mixture of training and just diving for fun, for the Divemaster course you need to have 40 dives to start and 60 dives to qualify. So during your training you can dive with us as much as you like to fill up your logbook.
– SSI Advanced Adventurer certified or equivalent
– SSI Stress & Rescue certified or equivalent
– 40+ dives to start the Divemaster course
– 60+ dives to get certified
Rather than just simulating diving situations, you will be fully integrated in our team, being an active working member of our family.
This does NOT mean that you will be making our coffee or doing paperwork in the shop. At Carabao Dive Resort we believe that you learn the most when you actually join the routine of the dive centre and shadow our experienced dive staff.
We want you to be ready and confident to start working as soon as you become certified, to get the most out of your Divemaster certificate.
We will teach you more than the Divemaster programme requirements. If you want to be a more versatile dive guide, you can also gain skills in basic equipment repair, dive centre logistics, environmentally friendly diving, dive shop management and customer communication.
The Divemaster course with Carabao Dive Resort will give you a strong insight of the diving industry.
